In 2019, BLOCK Interior Design Inc. was engaged by Bolt Offsite to develop interior specification packages for one of their multi-family developments in British Columbia. It was an exercise of not only finish and fixture selection but also of aligning connections and relationships for them to utilize for sourcing and purchasing.

The selection portion became driven by a number of factors. The solutions needed to be applicable to modular construction, with connections and installation details being of strong importance. Availability and costing were also factors as mass quantities needed to be accessible and conscious of the overall budget. We also reviewed their drawings providing recommendations for cost savings, longevity, and ease of installation. The dealers/ manufacturers we recommended also needed to be accessible for this project and future. We sourced from relationships that we have fostered and trust to ensure if was the right partnership for our client as well.
